Marriages Saved and Families Strengthened with $5 million in Federal Funding

In 2007, Community Marriage Builders contracted with Bolek Grant Writing and its research partner to develop an  application to the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families. Our team focused on exploring best practices in healthy marriage education and evaluation and leveraging CMB’s recent growth and progress to develop and write a comprehensive implementation strategy.

Success required extensive research to understand the community need, audiences and appropriate strategies. Our work resulted in a $2.6 million five-year funding award.

In 2011, Bolek Grant Writing and Diehl Consulting Group developed a second application to HHS, Family and Social Services Administration, resulting in a $2.4 million funding award.

Our partnership with Community Marriage Builders resulted in thousands of individuals and couples in Southwest Indiana impacted through life-changing marriage and relationship skills education.
