Dept. of Labor grant to provide housing and employment assistance for veterans.
Our coaching support helped secure a $186,000 Federal grant from the U.S. Department of Labor. Our client already had a proven track record with this grant. So, we took their good writing and made it great with narrative review and feedback, editing and general consultation using our “3C” Approach.
What does this mean? We reviewed the narrative with three specific questions in mind.
Is the overall project and implementation plan COMPLIANT with grant guidelines? Is the project narrative COMPLETE? Does the proposed project narrative demonstrate a COMPETITIVE edge?
First, we noted areas for improvement and consulted with the writer on changes to ensure the final draft was COMPLIANT, COMPLETE AND COMPETITIVE.
The result? Improved outcomes for veterans with case management, housing assistance and help to acquire high-wage employment, while also providing a nice boost to the region’s economy.
